Local Outreach

CCV’s belief in being the local church is more than just worshiping together but making a difference in the community.

Matthew 25: 35-36 says, “For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.”

The gospel calls us to action, to help and serve those around us! That is why we have partnered with a few local organizations that are experts in their field and can make a more significant difference when partnered with us.

Liberty Ministries
Was established in 1980 to serve the inmate populations of numerous state and county correctional facilities throughout Pennsylvania. We have positively impacted thousands of men and women inmates with the teaching of the Word of God, substance abuse recovery, spiritual, physical and emotional support, and the life changing power of Jesus Christ.
Over 160 volunteers visit men and women housed in correctional facilities on a monthly bases teaching, training, mentoring, and preparing men and women for life outside of prison.

Project Outreach
Founded in 1983, Project Outreach was organized by local pastors and laypersons from area churches in order to feed and serve the needy in the Spring-Ford area. As a result, two weekly food distribution sites were developed, one in Royersford and another in Spring City. Project Outreach, with the help of 25 area churches, continues to operate these food pantries and has added many other programs which aid and assist our residents in crisis.
We have been blessed over the years with continuous outpouring of food and financial donations from our community as a whole. Schools, local businesses, church groups, and families have joined together to enrich us with the ability to help meet these needs.
Project Outreach does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, religious creed, disability, or age.

Operation 143
We strive to live out God’s call to do all things in love, by feeding His children. We work with our donors, community partners, organizations, and schools to provide students in over 30 schools with meals on the weekends.
Childhood poverty is in all of our communities. Food insecurity affects students at your child’s school. Children just like yours depend on free meals during the school day, and Operation 143 sends them home with backpacks full of easy-to-prepare food to bridge the gap of the weekend, with enough food for dinner Friday and breakfast, lunch, and dinner Saturday and Sunday.

Fostering Hope
We’ve all heard “It takes a village…” when raising our children and we feel the same is true when raising someone else’s children, even if it’s only temporary. Fostering Hope wants to provide an exchange of resources to those who are willing and able to turn their families into foster families.

Genesis Women Clinic
Genesis is here to provide confidential advocacy to women who are facing an unplanned pregnancy. Our staff is trained to provide you with information and resources related to your situation. We are here to address all the concerns that you may have.
We provide material assistance and emotional support to mothers in need.

In Ian's Boots
In Ian's Boots is an organization dedicated to providing footwear to those in need within the United States and around the world. There are many people facing serious economic trials in their lives and can not afford to buy footwear for themselves or their families. We are here to help!

Project Purpose
Project Purpose exists to share with low-income students and families of Pottstown Christ's unique purpose for their lives by providing educational resources and mentoring relationships.

Good Samaritan Services
Good Samaritan Services gives immediate help to people who are experiencing homelessness and helps those at risk of becoming homeless, by restoring their lives to stability. We engage the community to support these efforts.

A Babys Breath -Monthly Need
A Babys breath houses pregnant women in need of housing. During their stay they live rent-free and are provided with supplies to cook their own meals weekly however, we are still looking for someone interested in making a meal for 2-4 women monthly. ServeFest

Each year in the spring, CCV partners with numerous local agencies to assist in their collective mission to serve and improve people's lives in our local area. From making bags for prisoners through Liberty Ministries to partnering with organizations like Operation 143 and Good Samaritan Services, CCV’s philosophy is not to come up with new ways of serving but rather come alongside those organizations already making a difference. We strive to do the best for as many people as we can, all in the name of Jesus. For more information about the next ServeFest, please email RobinR@ccvlive.com or Lisa@ccvlive.com
